Description
Congratulations! Your scholarly achievement distinguishes your potential for excellence at Otterbein University. You are invited to compete at Scholars Day for one of three full-tuition academic scholarships for your four years of study. You will get a chance to engage with the faculty and other students who share your academic goals and talents.

- What is the deadline to register for this event? What if I have issues registering?
- The deadline to RSVP (online) is Friday, January 23, 2026

- How many Full Tuition Scholarships are awarded? When will I find out if I have been chosen?
- Three (3) scholarships are awarded
- Students will be notified by the beginning of March if chosen
- If I am chosen, will I lose my other scholarships?
Due to the value of this award, it replaces all other Otterbein institutional aid. Students are NOT able to transfer Merit Scholarships towards Room & Board.
- Is the award renewable?
Yes, the scholarship is renewable for 4 years. It requires a 3.0 GPA to renew.
- If I am not chosen, will I still receive my Merit scholarships?
Yes, students will not lose any other scholarships they have been granted.
- Am I expected to prepare an essay ahead of time?
No, you will write the essay during the event on Saturday, January 31st, 2026. You will be given 45 minutes to complete and submit. You will receive more information about the essay a week before the competition to the email you used to register.
